THE PART NOBODY WARNS YOU ABOUT

If any of this sounds familiar, you're not doing anything wrong.

The first months ask a lot of you. These are the moments parents tell us wore them down most.

  • Fussy right after every feed — Laid flat straight after milk, they squirm and grizzle instead of settling, and you're back to soothing all over again.
  • Repositioning them all day — They slide to the same side the second you turn away, so you never actually get to sit down.
  • Watching for flat spots — You've noticed one side looks flatter and you're not sure whether you're doing enough about it.
  • No hands, ever — Between the settling and the holding, even two minutes to finish your coffee feels out of reach.

From holding them in place to letting the nest do it.

Before CalmiNest, you were the incline. You were the thing keeping them centred, propped, comfortable. CalmiNest takes that over for the awake, supervised stretches of the day a gentle slope and softly contoured sides that hold the position you were holding by hand. Baby stays settled. You get your arms back.

WHY IT WORKS

A gentle shape that does the settling for you.

The 12° slope → Supports the upper body instead of letting them lie dead flat, which is where most of the post-feed squirming comes from.

Contoured centring sides → Cradle the body just enough to stop the slow drift to one side, so their position holds without you fixing it.

Cushioned, even head support → Spreads weight across the back of the head rather than concentrating it on one flat point.

  • Right after a feed

The stretch where lying flat causes the most squirming. The incline takes the edge off it.

  • Supervised daytime naps

Settled, centred, and where you can see them, while you actually get something done.

  • Winding down before bed

A calm, familiar place to decompress before the cot, so the handover is less of a fight.

  • Tummy-time recovery

Somewhere comfortable to settle into afterwards without going straight back to a flat surface.

"Not a magic fix, and I'd say that to anyone. But he's calmer after feeds and I'm not pacing the hallway at 9pm anymore. Both of us are getting more rest."

"The twenty minutes after a feed used to mean holding her upright on my chest or listening to her squirm. Now she just goes in and settles. I finished a hot coffee last week for the first time since she was born."

    — Ava M.

"He used to end up wedged against the same side within minutes and I'd be over there fixing him constantly. The side bolsters keep him where I put him. That alone was worth it."

    — Sarah T.

"The fabric is genuinely lovely soft, and it doesn't get hot. It's been through the wash more times than I'd like to admit and still looks new."

"I was sceptical about buying another baby thing that ends up in a cupboard. This one lives in the living room and moves to the bedroom at night. It's the only one we actually use every day."

    — Darrel R.

    FAQs

    Collapsible content

    When should I use CalmiNest?

During the awake, supervised parts of the day after feeds, during supervised naps, and while winding down in the evening. Those are the stretches where positioning is hardest to manage by hand.

Is it safe for a newborn?

It's built for supervised rest and play from newborn up to around 10 months, using tested materials. It isn't a sleep surface for unsupervised or overnight sleep your baby should be on a firm flat surface in their own cot for that. Always keep them within sight and reach while in CalmiNest.

Will it help with flat spots?

It spreads pressure across the back of the head rather than concentrating it on one point, and the contoured sides reduce the constant drift to the same side. If you're already concerned about your baby's head shape, speak to your health visitor or paediatrician.

    How do I clean it?

The cover zips off and machine wash. Most parents keep a spare cover on hand for the inevitable

What if it doesn't work for us?

Send it back within 30 nights for a full refund.
